Open ZED from your portal's upper right corner, just below your name. You can then use ZED in two main ways:
Create Ad Hoc charts and analysis
Find out WHY your KPI's have changed
ZED is powerful, and it can make up to fifty queries at the same time, but is is not a human -> It understand exact requests much better than vague descriptions of what you want. The more specific instructions you give, the better results.
❌ Show me sales
✅ Show me last week's sales (pcs) by store compared to previous year
Tip: Filter precisely. It helps to say “Filter by” and specify the dimension.
❌Show me sales for women
✅ Show me sales last week, filtered by product category "Women's clothes"
Tip: Higher level categories work best. Avoid filtering down to single products.
Once you have asked your first question, you can move forward in four ways.
Add or change groupings, comparisons, timelines, metrics, or filters by voice or text.
Continue from the chart using Zoined’s normal drill down features (select a grouping and click any bar).
Ask ZED to drill down for you.
Or the best part, ask why your numbers increased or decreased.
Here are a couple of examples flows on how to talk with Zed:
Ask metric value for a time period → Show me sales for last month
Change grouping → Group by store
Apply filter → Filter by store Amsterdam
Add comparison → Add comparison to last year
Ask reason → Why did sales increase from last year?
Zed remembers the context of your previous questions. To start a new analysis, click New Chat in the panel’s top left corner.
