Adding parameters to your existing data
There are three steps to manually upload data into Zoined:
Navigate to Settings-> Data management, and download a template of your chosen data type.
If you are downloading transaction data, it is recommendable to choose a timeline for the data -> otherwise the portal will give you 1M lines of the most recent data)
Fill the desired data into an empty column in the Excel.
NOTE! If you replace data that is being sent regularly from your source system (eg. if you rename a product), the future automatic data transfers will overwrite the changes you made. To make changes to existing data you should always change the data in the source system.
Look below the specification on how to fill in the data (format etc.)
Drag and drop the updated file into the "Upload data" box in the Data management page.
Uploading from a new data source
If you want to add completely data for which you do not have an automated upload process, follow these three steps:
Download the correct template from here. (More templates coming soon)
Fill in at least the highlighted columns
Drag and drop the filled file into the "Upload data" area on the Data management page.
How to format the data
Fill at least the mandatory columns (in yellow) for each row -> Data will not be uploaded if there's missing key information on any row
The file size should not be larger than 20Mb, if the file size exceeds that, the upload should be done in parts, or directly via API.
Never change the column names in the templates. You can rename grouping and metrics in the settings once the data has been uploaded, but if you change the header of the file, the data will not be uploaded correctly.
Order of the columns does not need to be fixed -> you can remove unnecessary columns. Only the mandatory columns should not be removed
Dates should always be formatted as yyyy-mm-dd
Time should always be formatted as HH:mm:ss (NOTE! No milliseconds)
Decimal separator can be either comma or period, thousand separators are not recommended
You can fill either the existing fields, such as:
Product picture URL
buyer
Country of origin
fabric
Or you can fill any of the custom fields for attributes. HOWEVER; Custom metrics (calculatable numeric data) should only be added once the metric has been ordered from Zoined-> else the metric will not be visible in your portal
Here's an example what the data can look like:
How to add more automated data sources?
The more data you have in Zoined, the more valuable a tool it is for you, as you can see real time correlations accross datasets you would normally need to manually combine. If you want to add an additional data source, such as footfall counter data or workshift data to be better able to analyse efficiency, have a look at our existing integrations: https://zoined.com/integrations and contact sales for pricing.
